This is a series of scent-based installation works by Wang Changcheng. Following the brewing distillation process, he steamed sorghum and mixed it with fermentation starter, rice husks, and saccharifying mold, then placed them into an elderly urinal that had been transformed into a fermentation vessel. The fermentation process was monitored through an electronic thermometer and a U-tube for fermentation gases. Once fermentation was complete, the rubber urine collector could be used to smell the fragrance of the alcohol.

This series attempts to discuss the motivations behind filial piety while questioning the notion of its stability and permanence. It also presents the idea that filial piety is related to food surplus and the appearance of alcohol. Only when food is abundant enough to ferment can we sustain filial piety.

        这是一组气味装置作品,王长城按照酿酒蒸馏前的工艺,将高粱米蒸熟并拌入酒曲、稻壳与糖化酶,而后把它们放进了被改造成发酵器的老人尿壶之中。通过电子温度计接收器与发酵气体U形管监看着其中的发酵动向,待其发酵完成以后,可以使用橡胶接尿器闻到酒香。

        这组作品在试图讨论孝道的动机,并怀疑孝行稳定不变的观念。同时提出这样的观点:孝与食物剩余有关,与酒的出现有关,只有当食物多到可以发酵,我们才能够维持孝。
